Attic

Existing insulation: R-5 or lower
Final insulation: R-19 or higher
Rebate: $1.35 per square foot

Existing insulation: R-5 or lower
Final insulation: R-30 or higher
Rebate: $1.40 per square foot

Existing insulation: R-5 or lower
Final insulation: R-49 or higher
Rebate: $1.50 per square foot

Walls

Existing insulation: R-0 (No insulation)
Final insulation: R-11 or higher
Rebate: $0.75 per square foot

Existing insulation: R-0 (No insulation)
Final insulation: R-19 or higher
Rebate: $1.00 per square foot

Rebate(s) will not exceed 100% of the installed job cost. Rebate(s) for self-installed energy-efficient upgrades will not exceed 100% of the cost of materials.

Unfortunately, the building's walls must have no existing insulation (R-0) to qualify for the rebate.

Based on the information that you provided, your building is eligible for the insulation rebate. This information will be verified on your documentation. All energy-efficient upgrades must be installed according to Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) specifications. Please complete the rest of this form to apply.

Pre-approval of your project is strongly recommended. Pre-approval ensures that your project meets program requirements and ensures that rebate funds will be reserved for six (6) months.

There is no guarantee that funds will be available after the six-month approval or that the incentive amount will remain the same.

Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the availability of funds.

Proof of existing insulation levels. This may either be documented on the contractor's invoice or by providing clear pictures of the insulation clearly showing its depth with a ruler. If you are unable to provide this documentation, we will provide a free on-site audit that must be performed before the new insulation is installed. When selecting a contractor, it is the applicant’s responsibility to request proof of insurance and licensing that meets state requirements. Validating qualifications before work begins is strongly recommended.
