Offered to Consumers Power Inc. residential customers who meet eligibility requirements.

The contractor or customer may complete the application.
An AHRI Certificate from the contractor is required.
If you apply after the project has been installed, include the final invoice.

Rebate: $920

Limit one rebate per home and one rebate per utility account.

Rebate assignment option

The Consumers Power Inc. member may agree to release the rebate for payment directly to a contractor or another party responsible for the project by using a Consumers Power Rebate Assignment.

Eligible home types

Existing Single-family homes (4 units or less), site-built or manufactured
Existing Multifamily homes (5 units or more)

New construction homes do not qualify.

Eligible heating sources

Single-family homes must have a current, primary heat source that is either:

Forced-air electric furnace, or
Zonal electric resistance heating (baseboard, ceiling, wall, electric hydronic)

Multifamily homes must use zonal electric resistance heating.

No other heating sources are allowed.

An existing heat pump of any type or a gas-fueled heating source disqualifies the home for this program.

Eligible projects

Full installation of the new ductless heat pump system must be performed by a licensed contractor.
The new equipment must be tested and certified by the Air conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
The system's AHRI certificate demonstrates the Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) efficiency requirement is met.
Please submit AHRI with the pre-approval paperwork. If the system changes for any reason, a new AHRI is required with the final paperwork. If the AHRI was not submitted at the time of pre-approval the AHRI must be received with the final paperwork to finalize the rebate.
