City of Shasta Lake Windows Rebate

Offered to City of Shasta Lake residential customers for the purchase and installation of qualified new Replacement Windows, Reflective Window Film, and Exterior Window Solar Screens.

This application should be submitted within six (6) months of the purchase or installation date.

Rebates are limited to 95% of the project’s total cost.

To qualify for the window rebates, the dwelling must be conditioned with electric heating or cooling equipment.

Rebates and Amounts

Replacement Windows
$4 per square foot of windows replaced

Existing windows must be single-pane or double-pane with metal frames.

Replacement windows must have a U-Factor of 0.32 or lower and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.25 or lower to qualify.

The following documents are required to submit this application:

  • Your project’s final invoice(s)/receipt(s)
  • The NFRC stickers from the new windows or the Manufacturer’s Order Confirmation
  • Pre- and Post-installation photos documenting existing and final window frames

Reflective Window Film
$1 per square foot of reflective film added

Existing windows must be clear (no existing reflective film installed) and single-pane. North facing windows are not eligible for this rebate.

Reflective window film must have SHGC of 0.39 or lower to qualify for the rebate.

The following documents are required to submit this application:

  • Your project’s final invoice(s)/receipt(s)
  • NFRC documentation of the SHGC of the reflective window film
  • Pre- and Post-installation photos documenting existing window frames and installed reflective window film

Exterior Window Solar Screen
$0.75 per square foot of solar screens added

Existing windows must be single-pane or double-pane without existing solar shade. North facing windows are not eligible for this rebate.

New screens must be dark colored solar screen with an openness factor of 5% or less to qualify.

The following documents are required to submit this application:

  • Your project’s final invoice(s)/receipt(s)
  • Pre- and Post-installation photos documenting existing windows and installed solar shade screens

Payment method

Individual rebates that are $100 or less are paid as a credit on the customer’s utility account.

For rebates that total more than $100, the customer may choose a check or credit for the entire sum.

Please show your payment preference with a note at the end of the form, when you submit the request.

Allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive the rebate, if all qualifications are met.
