Offered to City of Bandon commercial customers for qualifying commercial installations of new electric “mini-split” Ductless Heat Pumps (DHP).
Retrofit
Rebate: $800 per ton
Pre-condition: The existing building’s space is conditioned by a permanently installed system with zonal or forced air, electric resistance heat as the primary heating source. No other heating sources are eligible.
Post-condition: Efficiency requirements apply to new DHP, according to outdoor unit type.
- Non-ducted: 10.4 HSPF2 / 11.0 HSPF
- Ducted or mixed: 9.4 HSPF2 / 10.0 HSPF
Upgrade
Rebate: $240 per ton
Pre-condition: None. The DHP Upgrade rebate may be used for any project where the post-condition requirements are met.
Post-condition: Efficiency requirements apply to new DHP, according to outdoor unit type.
- Non-ducted: 10.4 HSPF2 / 11.0 HSPF
- Ducted or mixed: 9.4 HSPF2 / 10.0 HSPF
A project can claim both Retrofit and Upgrade rebates if all conditions are met.
The AHRI certificate for each model installed is required.
To calculate the projected rebate, either:
- Sum the tons from all heat pumps installed, then round to the nearest whole ton; or
- Round each individual heat pump to the nearest whole ton, then sum all rounded tons.
Rebate will not exceed 100% of the installed job cost.
