City of Lompoc Landscape Rebate

Offered to City of Lompoc residential and commercial properties for the conversion of grass areas to qualified drought-tolerant landscaping.

Commercial, Industrial, and Multi-Family landscaping projects may require city building permits. Before beginning work, contact the City’s Planning Division at (805) 875-8275 for landscape design regulations and eligible materials.

This application should be submitted within 12 months of the project’s end date.

Limit one rebate per utility account, per year.

Rebates are limited to 100% of the project’s total cost, including materials, labor, rental equipment, and tools.

Rebate: $2 per sq. ft. 

For removing grass up to 1,000 sq. ft. 

Maximum rebate: $2,000

Required documents

  • Your project’s final invoice(s)/receipt(s)
  • High-quality color photos of existing landscape with grass and completed converted landscape area

Rebate payment: Rebate amounts will first be applied to any past-due balance on the customer’s account.  A check will be issued for the remaining rebate balance and will be mailed to the account mailing address on record.

Licensed contractor

For landscape work performed by a contractor to qualify for this rebate, the contractor must have an active license, in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

Use California’s official Check A License system to verify your contractor’s status and CSLB number.

Allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive the rebate, if all qualifications are met.
