WREC Residential Exterior Door Rebate

Offered to Wells Rural Electric Company residential customers who meet eligibility requirements.

Pre-approval is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

Your Home

Primary heat source must be electric

Must be a single-family, multi-family low-rise or manufactured home

Multi-family mid/high-rise homes are not eligible

New construction homes are not eligible

The Project

The new exterior door must replace an uninsulated or otherwise thermally substandard exterior door

The door must separate an electrically heated space from the outside or unheated area (e.g. an unheated garage)

The new exterior doors must be pre-hung and ENERGY STAR® certified, installed to BPA specifications

Verification

Pre-existing doors must be verified by one of the following options:

Contractor notes (via email, quote or final invoice)

Clear pictures (can include photos of old doors still on site)

Audit by a utility representative

Verification of the installed exterior door either by photos or a final inspection

A copy of one NFRC sticker per door or proof that the exterior door is ENERGY STAR rated

The final invoice, including door order/purchase date, installed cost, manufacturer, model and quantity. Estimates, proposals or quotes are not accepted as the final invoice.

Rebate: $40 per door

Rebates are limited to 100% of the total project cost.
