Lodi Commercial EV and Charger Rebates

Offered on qualifying purchases of new 240-volt Level 2 EV charging equipment by eligible Lodi Electric Utility customers.

Rebate: $3,000 per charging station purchase

Customer eligibility: The rebate applicant must be the Lodi Electric Utility account holder for the nonresidential or commercial location. Multifamily residential site owners, managers, or developers can also apply.

Eligible equipment: Level 2 EV charging stations.

Equipment condition: New and unused.

Certification: Charging equipment is UL Listed, ETL Listed, or approved by the City of Lodi Building Department.

Ineligible equipment: Portable, resold, rebuilt, warranty/insurance replacement units, or replacement parts installed in existing chargers are not eligible.

Installation: Equipment is to be installed at the qualifying site receiving electric power from LEU. See the separate rebate for Installation with Permit.

Offered on qualifying, permitted installations of new 240-volt Level 2 EV charging equipment by eligible Lodi Electric Utility customers.

Rebate: $3,000 per charging station installation

Eligible installation: Level 2 EV charging equipment is installed according to all City of Lodi and utility requirements at the qualifying service location.

A charger purchase rebate is available. The installation and purchase rebates are separate.

Requirements

• Installation must be performed by an electrician with a valid California C-10 license.
• Project must receive an approved Commercial Building Permit from City of Lodi. A residential permit does not apply to this incentive.
• Rebate documentation must include Lodi’s approved Permit Inspection page with the inspector’s initials and date.

Offered on qualifying purchases of new DC Fast EV Charging Stations for use at commercial or multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Rebate: $4,000 per charging station

Requirements

• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the site.
• DC Fast Charger must have UL or ETL certification.
• Charging Station must be intended for placement and use at a Lodi commercial or multifamily housing location.
• Equipment that is resold, rebuilt, received from warranty insurance claims, third party-owned, or awarded as a prize or grant is not eligible.

Offered on qualifying installations of DC Fast Charging Stations for commercial and multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Lodi offers a rebate to non-residential customers for the purchase of a new or used zero-emission vehicle.

Rebate: $1,000

Customer eligibility: Applicant must be a LEU non-residential customer with an active account at the time of purchase.

Vehicle type: Must be All-Electric, fully battery-powered and zero emission. Partial electric hybrid vehicles are not eligible.

Equipment condition: Purchased new or used. Leased vehicles are not eligible.

Location eligibility: The EV must be purchased in San Joaquin County and registered in one of Lodi’s two ZIP codes.

Registration requirement: Vehicle must be registered with a LEU non-residential account at the time of purchase.

Limits: One rebate per Lodi Electric Utility commercial utility customer. One rebate per EV.

Documents you need to apply

• Invoice, order confirmation, contract/agreement, or receipt from seller.
• DMV Bill of Sale (the form submitted to DMV with vehicle registration application, or an acceptable bill of sale).
• Final vehicle registration from DMV.
