Offered to Lassen Municipal Utility District (LUMD) residential customers for purchase and installation of a new, qualifying Central Air Conditioner.
Application must be submitted within six months of purchase or installation date.
Rebate applies to existing homes only; new construction is not eligible.
All rebates are limited to 50% of cost.
Rebate and conditions
Rebate amount calculated per ton of cooling capacity (1 ton=12,000 Btuh, result is not rounded).
Paid by credit on utility customer’s account, or with check for rebate of $300 or more.
Minimum efficiency requirements apply:
$75 per ton
Minimum 16 SEER and 12.8 EER (equivalent to 15.2 SEER2 and 12.2 EER2)
*All replacement equipment must be new and certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Equipment tonnage is calculated using the cooling capacity listed on the AHRI certificate. Divide cooling capacity by 12,000 (1 ton = 12,000 Btuh), the result is not rounded. Example: AHRI cooling capacity 34,500/12,000 = 2.87-ton unit.
