Important Information About Central Lincoln’s Rebate Programs
These programs are designed to support our customers in improving energy efficiency; however, please be aware of the following conditions:
- Qualification Does Not Guarantee Rebate Payment: While you may meet all the criteria to qualify for a rebate, issuance is contingent upon the receipt of Energy-Efficiency Implementation (EEI) funding from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). Due to uncertainties in BPA funding, we cannot assure immediate disbursement, and rebate payments may be subject to delay or denial.
- Dependency on BPA Resources: All rebate programs depend on the availability of funds from the BPA. Consequently, the details and availability of these rebates are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
For qualifying commercial installations of new electric ducted Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP).
These rebates cannot be used to retrofit packaged terminal air conditioning (PTAC) units.
Retrofit: $700 per ton
Pre-condition: The existing building’s space is conditioned by a permanently installed electric resistance heating system as its primary heat source. No other heating sources are eligible.
Post-condition: Each installed ASHP must be an air-to-air heat pump and have an AHRI certificate of product rating.
Upgrade: $150 per ton
Pre-condition: None. The ASHP Upgrade rebate may be used for any project where the post-condition requirements are met.
Post-conditions: Each installed ASHP must be an air-to-air heat pump, have an AHRI certificate of product rating, and meet the efficiency requirements for upgrades.
A project can claim both Retrofit and Upgrade rebates if all conditions are met.
To calculate the projected rebate, use either method:
- Sum the tons from all heat pumps installed, then round to the nearest whole ton; or
- Round each individual heat pump to the nearest whole ton, then sum all rounded tons.
Rebate(s) will not exceed 70% of the installed job cost.
