Residential Air Source Heat Pump: Terms & Conditions

For PTCS Heat Pump Installations: By submitting the application, the contractor verifies that the equipment installed is new, AHRI tested, and certified. The contractor has installed and commissioned according to the current PTCS Air Source Heat Pump specifications. The contractor verifies that he or she is certified as an active PTCS contractor listed on the PTCS registry.

For PTCS Duct Seal Installations: By submitting the application, the contractor verifies that the ducts have been sealed according to the current PTCS Duct Seal specifications. The contractor verifies that he or she is certified as an active PTCS contractor listed on the PTCS registry.

For Prescriptive Duct Seal Installations: By submitting the application, the contractor verifies that the ducts have been sealed according to the current Prescriptive Duct Seal specifications. The contractor verifies that he or she is certified as an active Prescriptive Duct Sealing technician either listed in the online site registry or a pre-approved utility certification program and performed according to the Prescriptive Duct Sealing Program Requirements.

For Non-PTCS Heat Pump Installations: By submitting the application, the contractor verifies that the equipment installed is new, AHRI tested, and certified. The contractor verifies that the installation is a conversion from an existing Electric Forced-Air Furnace to a high-efficiency ducted Air Source Heat Pump.

Please note: At this time, VRF technologies (also known as VRV) do not qualify for the residential conversion from Electric Forced-Air Furnace to Air Source Heat Pump.

CBEC disclaims any warranty, whether expressed or implied, regarding the measure(s) listed above for any materials or labor associated with installation, maintenance, repair, or any energy savings associated with use. The applicant understands that the measure(s) must be installed to CBEC specifications, and certifies that they, or the contractor, have reviewed the specifications prior to beginning work. When selecting a contractor, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to request proof of insurance and licensing that meets the statutes and rules of the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. CBEC strongly recommends validating qualifications before work begins. The contractor understands the above and verifies that the homeowner is a customer of CBEC, that the measure(s) are installed at the address indicated, and that this address is within the CBEC service territory.
