Offered to Modern Electric Water Company residential customers who meet eligibility requirements.

Requirements

New construction homes do not qualify.
New, qualified Heat Pump Water Heater must replace electric storage water heater.
Your new model must be on the BPA qualified products list (see link at start of application, below).
Limit one Heat Pump Water Heater rebate per site.

Amounts

40 gallon, any Tier: $600

50-gallon or higher, Tier 3: $600

50-gallon or higher, Tier 4: $700

Rebate will not exceed 100% of the heat pump water heater’s cost. Installation costs are not included.

Current rebate amounts available for receipts dated on or after April 1, 2023.

Modern rebates are paid directly to the customer on the utility account. Rebate assignments to contractors are not allowed.
