Lodi Commercial EV and Charger Rebates

Open to Lodi commercial customers for qualifying purchases of new or used Zero Emission Electric Vehicles.

Rebate: $1,000

Requirements

• The EV buyer must be a Lodi Electric Utility commercial account holder.
• The EV must be registered with DMV in the name on the Lodi utility commercial account, at the service address.
• Vehicle is all-electric, fully battery-powered.
• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the service location.

Types of vehicles that do not qualify 

• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and gas-electric Hybrid vehicles are not eligible.
• Leased EVs are not eligible.

Documents you need to apply

• Invoice, order confirmation, contract/agreement, or receipt from seller.
• DMV Bill of Sale (the form submitted to DMV with vehicle registration application, or an acceptable bill of sale).
• Final vehicle registration from DMV.

Limits

• One rebate per Lodi Electric Utility commercial utility customer, every five years.
• One rebate per EV.

Offered on qualifying installations of DC Fast Charging Stations for commercial and multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Rebate: $4,000 per charging station

Requirements

• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the site.
• Installation must be performed by an electrician with a valid California C-10 license.
• Project must receive an approved Commercial Building Permit from City of Lodi. A residential permit does not apply to this incentive.
• Rebate documentation must include Lodi’s approved Permit Inspection page with the inspector’s initials and date.

Offered on qualifying purchases of new DC Fast EV Charging Stations for use at commercial or multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Rebate: $4,000 per charging station

Requirements

• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the site.
• DC Fast Charger must have UL or ETL certification.
• Charging Station must be intended for placement and use at a Lodi commercial or multifamily housing location.
• Equipment that is resold, rebuilt, received from warranty insurance claims, third party-owned, or awarded as a prize or grant is not eligible.

Offered on qualifying installations of Level 2 EV Charging Stations for commercial and multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Rebate: $3,000 per charging station

Requirements

• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the site.
• Installation must be performed by an electrician with a valid California C-10 license.
• Project must receive an approved Commercial Building Permit from City of Lodi. A residential permit does not apply to this incentive.
• Rebate documentation must include Lodi’s approved Permit Inspection page with the inspector’s initials and date.

Offered on qualifying purchases of new 240-volt Level 2 EV charging stations for use at commercial or multifamily housing sites serviced by Lodi Electric Utility.

Rebate: $3,000 per charging station

Requirements

• The rebate applicant must be the utility account holder for the site.
• Level 2 Charger must have UL or ETL certification.
• Charger must be designed strictly for pedestal or wall-mounted stations to be placed on the site. Portable chargers do not qualify.
• Charging stations with multiple ports (or plugs) are considered one unit, to receive one rebate.
• Chargers cannot be used, resold, rebuilt, or received from warranty insurance claims.
