Lassen Geothermal Heat Pump Rebate

Offered to Lassen Municipal Utility District (LUMD) residential customers for purchase and installation of a new, qualified Geothermal Heat Pump.

Application must be submitted within six months of purchase or installation date.

Rebate applies to existing homes only; new construction is not eligible.

All rebates are limited to 50% of cost.

Rebate and conditions
$1,000 per ton of cooling capacity (1 ton=12,000 Btuh, result is not rounded). Paid by check.

New unit must have ENERGY STAR certification.

Installations required by Title 24 codes and standards are not eligible for rebates.

We require the new Geothermal Heat Pump's AHRI Certificate to be provided by the contractor. Rebate applications without this information cannot be processed.
